2.0L Diesel

  1. Install the starter (3). Tighten bolts (1, 2) to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).

  2. Install the B+ on the starter solenoid stud. Tighten Nut (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  3. Install the ground cable onto bottom stud. Tighten nut (2) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the cable bracket on upper stud. Tighten nut (3) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  5. Connect the solenoid connector to the starter.

  6. Install the oil filter with cooler housing assembly. Refer to HOUSING, OIL FILTER, INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the belly pan (2) and securely tighten bolts (3).
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
