DECKLID / Hatch / Liftgate / Tailgate / Swing Gate: Liftgate: Installation

NOTE:
With assistance, support the lift gate while the hinges are being installed.
NOTE:
A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.
- Position the liftgate onto the vehicle.
- Install the four hinge to liftgate bolts (1) and tighten the to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install two hinge to header nuts (3) and tighten to 63 N.m (46 in. lbs.).
- Install the support struts (2). Refer to PROP ASSEMBLY, POWER, INSTALLATION .
- Connect wiring harnesses and washer hose.
- Check and adjust the liftgate if necessary. Refer to LIFTGATE, ADJUSTMENTS .
- Install the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, INSTALLATION .
