Bulb - Headlamp

CAUTION:
Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- For passenger side bulb assembly, position the air cleaner box out of the way. Refer to AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Firmly grasp the headlamp bulb access cover on the outboard back of the front lamp unit housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
- Remove the access cover from the lamp housing.
- Firmly grasp the headlamp bulb base (1) on the back of the reflector within the front lamp unit housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
- Pull the bulb and base straight out from the keyed opening in the reflector.NOTE:
Take care to prevent the front lamp unit wire harness and connector from falling back into the lamp housing after disconnecting it from the bulb.
- Disconnect the front lamp unit wire harness connector (2) from the bulb connector receptacle.
- Remove the bulb from the back of the front lamp unit.
