Puddle Lamp

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.NOTE:
The graphic shows the puddle lamp latch with the mirror glass and case removed for clarity; however, it is NOT necessary to remove the mirror glass and case to remove or to install the puddle lamp.
- Insert a small flat-bladed screw driver (4) between the bottom of the mirror housing bezel and the lower edge of the mirror glass and case to access the puddle lamp (2) latch feature (1).
- Push the outboard side of the puddle lamp latch feature toward the lamp far enough to release the lamp from the underside of the mirror shell.
- Disengage the inboard side of the puddle lamp from the inboard side of the lamp opening in the mirror shell.
- Pull the puddle lamp (3) away from the mirror shell (1) far enough to access and disconnect the two mirror wire harness connectors (2) from the two terminals of the puddle lamp.
- Remove the puddle lamp from the mirror.
