Theory Of Operation

Domestic: Four Trailer Tow Relays (integral to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) Assembly) are used to provide voltage to the Trailer Tow connector. The Trailer Tow Relays are used to switch fused battery voltage directly to the Trailer Tow connector, when requested. When the Body Control Module (BCM) receives a Park, Turn or Backup Lamp request, the BCM provides a ground signal to the coil side of appropriate Trailer Tow Relay.
Export: When the Body Control Module (BCM) receives a Park, Turn or Backup Lamp request, the BCM provides the appropriate ground signal to the Trailer Tow Module.
