Repair Procedure For Freedom Panel Sealer Skip (2009-2012 Models Only)
This repair procedure is applicable when water is evident on the:
- Rear view mirror and/or the following
- Sloshing in the freedom panel
- Remove the freedom panel that is leaking and/or sloshing.
- Place the freedom panel on a cloth or blanket with the exterior surface down.
- Remove the attaching hardware shown in illustration .
- Tape all holes (hardware and attachment points) except the weld nut.
- Regulate the air pressure to 5 psi and pressurize the panel via the weld nut (utilize a rubber or plastic nozzle).
- Place hand around the perimeter and feel for air leaks at locations (1 and 2) as shown in illustration .
- Clean the area of concern with isopropyl alcohol and apply Kent™ Hi-Tech clear seam sealer, or equivalent.
