Ball Joint, Suspension, Upper: Removal: Removal
- Remove the steering knuckle. Refer to KNUCKLE, STEERING, REMOVAL .
- Remove the axle shaft from the axle. Refer to SHAFT, AXLE, REMOVAL .4X4 only .
- Position special tool (special tool #6761, Installer, Ball Joint) (RECEIVER) (2) and (special tool #6289-3, Remover/Installer) (DRIVER) (4) with C-4212F (PRESS) (1) as shown to remove upper ball joint.
