Line, A/C Discharge: Removal: Removal

NOTE:
2.8L engine model shown in illustration. 3.6L engine model similar.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the coolant recovery container. Refer to BOTTLE, COOLANT RECOVERY, REMOVAL .
- On 2.8L engine models, disconnect the charge air cooler outlet hose from the throttle body and position the hose out of the way.
- On 2.8L engine models, disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the A/C pressure transducer (5) and remove the transducer, if required. Refer to TRANSDUCER, A/C PRESSURE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the nuts (3) that secure the A/C discharge line (2) to the A/C condenser (1) and the A/C compressor (6).
- Disconnect the A/C discharge line from the A/C condenser and A/C compressor and remove and discard the O-ring seals and gaskets.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened discharge line fittings and condenser and compressor ports.
