WARNING:
A slow and steady application of force and motion is required when compressing the belt tensioner strut. Any aggressive application of force will result in damage to the strut
- Remove accessory drive belt and position aside.
- Remove the hydraulic tensioner mounting bolt (4).
- Remove accessory drive belt tensioner mounting bolt (1).
- Remove accessory drive belt tensioner (2) from engine front cover.
WARNING:
Because of high spring tension, do not attempt to disassemble automatic tensioner. Unit is serviced as an assembly.
