Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Dodge Journey and 2015 Dodge Journey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the headlamp switch requesting park lamp illumination. The BCM provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) voltage output through the left rear park lamp control circuit. The control circuit connects to the LED Park Lamps. A ground path for the lamps is present through the harness to the body sheet metal. For additional information on the Park Lamps operation. Refer to OPERATION .
