Diagnostic Test

INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all DTCs.
3. Turn the Park Lamps on.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display DTC: B16BF-11-FRONT LEFT SIDEMARKER LAMP CONTROL - CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
ATTEMPT TO SET THE OPPOSITE DTC
1. Turn the Park Lamps off.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Left Front Lamp Assembly C4 harness connector and the Left Front Lamp Assembly C3 harness connector (except export).
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Turn the Park Lamps on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display DTC: B16BF-15-FRONT LEFT SIDEMARKER LAMP CONTROL- CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR OPEN?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the bulb causing the short to ground condition in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE (L77) LEFT FRONT SIDE MARKER LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the BCM A harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (L77) Left Front Side Marker Lamp Driver circuit.
  Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Repair the short to ground in the (L77) Left Front Side Marker Lamp Driver circuit.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
