Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE HEADLAMP SWITCH NOTE:
This DTC is set when the BCM detects a voltage value from the Headlamp Switch indicating that either Auto-headlamp or Fog Lamp function is being requested on a vehicle not equipped with those options.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Visually inspect the Headlamp Switch for the Auto-headlamp and Fog Lamp icons.
Is the Headlamp Switch correct for the options present on the vehicle?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Headlamp Switch in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, HEADLAMP, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- RESTORE THE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, Restore Vehicle Configuration.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test Complete.
