Pump, Windshield Washer: Installation: Headlamp

  1. Install a new rubber grommet seal/filter screen into the headlamp washer pump/motor unit mounting hole in the washer reservoir. Always use a new rubber grommet seal on the reservoir.
  2. Position the inlet nipple of the headlamp washer pump/motor unit (1) to the rubber grommet seal/filter screen in the reservoir.
  3. Using hand pressure, press firmly and evenly downward on the washer pump/motor unit until the inlet nipple is fully seated in the rubber grommet seal/filter screen in the pump mounting hole of the reservoir.
  4. Align the top of the washer pump/motor unit housing with the receptacle in the washer reservoir.
  5. Using hand pressure, press firmly and evenly on the top of washer pump/motor unit until the motor housing snaps into the receptacle.
  6. Reinstall the washer reservoir onto the cooling module. Refer to RESERVOIR, WINDSHIELD WASHER, INSTALLATION .
  7. Refill the washer reservoir with the washer fluid drained during removal.
  8. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
