Diagnostic Test

- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Cycle the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Operate the Passenger Window up and down several times.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display; B224F-54 DOOR MODULE INTERNAL - MISSING CALIBRATION?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- DENORMALIZE THE WINDOW MODULE
- With the scan tool in Passenger Door Module, select "Miscellaneous Functions" and perform the "Denormalize Window/Reset ECU" routine.
- Start the engine or connect a battery charger and set at charging voltage.
- Sit in the driver seat.
- Using the window switch, move the passenger window part way down.
- Using the window switch, raise the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Lower the window to the full down position by pushing down on the window switch to its second detent and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Lift the window switch to the express up position and release.
Did the window move to the full up position?
Yes
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 3
- EXPRESS SWITCH
Is the express feature inoperative from both front door switches?
Yes
- Replace the Passenger Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DOOR, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the defective Express Window Switch assembly. Refer to SWITCH, POWER WINDOW, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
