Diagnostic Test

- CHECK THE ANTENNA CONNECTION
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Satellite Radio Antenna connections.
- Inspect the Satellite Radio Antenna connections.
Are the Antenna connections clean and secure?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Repair the Antenna connection as needed.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CHECK THE ANTENNA AND CABLE
- Connect the Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-SAT, Antenna) to the Satellite Antenna connection on the back of the TGW.
- Make sure one of the front doors is still open.
- Using the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn the TGW on.
- Using the scan tool, read the active TGW DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B142F-13 SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED- CIRCUIT OPEN as active?
Yes
- Replace the TGW in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TELEMATICS GATEWAY, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 3
- TEST THE SATELLITE ANTENNA CABLE
- Disconnect the Satellite Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna.
- Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-1, Adapter) or (special tool #9977-6-3, Adapter) to the Satellite Antenna cable at the back of the TGW.
- Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-4, Jumper) or (special tool #9977-6-2, Jumper) to the Satellite Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna.
- Measure the Resistance across the terminals on the tool.
Is the resistance above 52.5 Ohms?
Yes
- Use the Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6, Kit, Radio Antenna Diagnostic) to locate the open circuit, repair or replace the Satellite Antenna cable as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the Satellite Antenna in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to ANTENNA, SATELLITE, AUDIO, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
