Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Dodge Journey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives a communication network message from the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) requesting high beam lamp illumination. When this message is received, the BCM provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) voltage output through the high beam driver circuit which connects to the High Beam Lamp. A common ground circuit is used for the Low and High Beam Lamps. For additional information on the Headlamp operation, refer to OPERATION .
