2.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
    NOTE:

    Drain the fluid in a clean container, free of debris. Save the fluid for re-use.

  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Remove the timing belt.

  5. Remove the water pump mounting bolts (2).
  6. Separate the water pump (1) and the gasket from the cylinder head.
