Belt, Serpentine: Removal: 3.6L

CAUTION:

Do not let tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
  2. Raise vehicle.
  3. Remove right front wheel.
  4. Remove the inner splash shield.
  5. Rotate belt tensioner (8) until it contacts its stop. Remove belt (7), then slowly rotate the tensioner into the freearm position.
