2.0L Diesel

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the right side front wheel.

Remove the inner fender splash shield (1).

Remove the lower splash belt shield (2).
CAUTION:
Do not allow the tensioner to snap back to the unloaded position. Damage to the tensioner may occur.

Using a wrench, rotate the belt tensioner (8) until the locking pin can be installed.
Remove the accessory drive belt (5).
