Diagnostic Test

PCM PROGRAMMED WITH INCORRECT SOFTWARE

Turn the ignition on.
Program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE PROGRAMMING .
Start the engine.
Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
Does the scan tool display P1400-AFTERMARKET CALIBRATION DETECTED/WARRANTY VOID?

Yes
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL [EHD, ERB], REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been successfully programmed. Test is complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
