NOTE:
Transfer Case may not engage or disengage Four Wheel Drive Mode if the transfer case shift cable end bushings are damaged.
- If necessary install new end bushings on the shift cable ends.
- Route the shift cable through the opening in the floor pan.
- Connect the transfer case shift cable to the shift lever body and pin.
- Install any floor console components previously removed. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, INSTALLATION .
- Verify that the floor shifter is in the N position.
- Raise vehicle.
- Route the shift cable through the opening in the shift cable support bracket.
- Install the cable and a new spring clip into the slot in the support bracket.
- Install any additional routing clips on the shift cable.
- Verify that the transfer case is in the N position.
- Attach the shift cable to the transfer case manual lever.
- Lower vehicle and check for proper transfer case shifter operation.
