The location of the left side impact sensor 1 is in the B-pillar just past the first row seating. With the ignition on, the Left Side Impact Sensor 1 is equipped with on board diagnostics to monitor to sensor's internal circuits. If a problem is identified, the sensor sends the Left Side Impact Sensor 1 Internal message to the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC). If the scan tool shows this DTC has a Stored history of setting then the left side impact sensor is to be replaced.
