Section 230 (Charging System (Service Information)): Generator: Removal: 3.6L

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the engine cover (1).

  4. Remove the air cleaner body (1). Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
  5. Position aside the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

  6. Remove the generator electrical connector (2) and the B+ battery stud cover (1).

  7. Remove the B+ retainer (1) and position aside the B+ cable.

  8. Remove the generator mounting retainers (1).
