Open the hood.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the engine cover (1).

Remove the air cleaner body (1). Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
Position aside the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

Remove the generator electrical connector (2) and the B+ battery stud cover (1).

Remove the B+ retainer (1) and position aside the B+ cable.
