Section 230 (Charging System (Service Information)): Generator: Installation: 3.6L

  1. Install the generator into the vehicle.
  2. Install the generator mounting retainers (1).

    Tighten to the top retainers to 54 N.m (43 ft. lbs.)

    Tighten to the bottom retainers to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.)

  3. Position back the B+ cable onto the generator stud.
  4. Install the B+ retainer (1).

    Tighten to 18 N.m (13 ft. lbs)

  5. Install the generator electrical connector (2) and install the B+ battery stud cover (1).

  6. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the air cleaner body (1). Refer to AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .

  8. Install the engine cover.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Close the hood.
