Bulb - Headlamp - Export

CAUTION:

Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the headlamp unit (1) from the mounting collar (3). Refer to UNIT, HEADLAMP, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the rubber headlamp boot seal (2) from the back of the headlamp housing and the headlamp bulb base (4).
  4. Removal of the boot seal from the headlamp unit housing will reveal the wire retainer for the headlamp bulb.
  5. Pinch the two ends of the wire retainer together and disengage them from the hooks that secure them against the bulb flange on the headlamp housing.
  6. Pivot the wire retainer up off of the flange of the headlamp bulb base and out of the way.
  7. Pull the bulb straight out of the keyed opening in the headlamp housing.
