Alternative Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the fuel pump module. Refer to MODULE, FUEL PUMP, REMOVAL  .
  4. Drain fuel tank using an approved diesel fuel draining station.
