Diesel Exhaust Pipe

- Install the exhaust pipe into the vehicle. Do not tighten the clamp nut at this time (1).
- Insert the front exhaust isolator (2).
- Install the rear exhaust isolator (1).
- Install the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter flange retaining nuts (1).
- Make sure the exhaust pipe is aligned and has the proper clearance. The minimum clearance is 25 mm (1 inch). Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
- Tighten the exhaust pipe clamp nut (1) to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
- Install the muffler mounting. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
