Diesel Exhaust Pipe

Install the exhaust pipe into the vehicle. Do not tighten the clamp nut at this time (1).
Insert the front exhaust isolator (2).

Install the rear exhaust isolator (1).
Install the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter flange retaining nuts (1).
Make sure the exhaust pipe is aligned and has the proper clearance. The minimum clearance is 25 mm (1 inch). Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.

Tighten the exhaust pipe clamp nut (1) to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
Install the muffler mounting. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
Start the engine and inspect for leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
