Tie Rod Tube

  1. Thread the tie rod tube onto the adjuster.
  2. Insert the tie rod in the steering knuckle.
  3. Install the tie rod ball stud nut (3) and tighten to 85 N.m (63 ft. lbs.).
  4. Position the tie rod clamp (2) and tighten to 46 N.m (34 ft. lbs.).
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  7. Set the toe. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
