Repair Procedure For Cowl Side Panel

This repair procedure is applicable when water is evident on the:

1 - DASH PANEL
2 - FRONT FLOOR
3 - COWL SIDE PANEL

Location of the leak is the Cowl Side Panel (3).

NOTE:

These leaks can be diagnosed by applying a water hose in the cowl panel area (1)

Condition (1) : Mastic Patches / Plugs 

  1. Replace patch or plug.

Condition 2: Seam sealer skips 

  1. Apply clear sealer to skip area.

Condition 3: Check strap bracket 

  1. Remove bracket and apply butyl to holes.

Condition 4: Scuff trim foam damaged / missing 

  1. Replace trim clips.

Condition 5: Antenna grommet not seated 

  1. Re-install grommet.
