Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, create a Vehicle Scan Report and attach it to the repair order.
- Operate the Passenger Window Switch in all positions several times.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read PDM DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH FOR A SHORT
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Disconnect the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch harness connector.
- With the scan tool, read PDM DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch in accordance with Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, POWER WINDOW, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (Q336) PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C5 harness connector.
- Check for continuity between ground and the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit at the Passenger Door Module C5 harness connector.
Is there continuity between ground and the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit?
Yes
- Repair the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 4
- CHECK THE (Q336) PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Q936) PASSENGER SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT
- Check for continuity between the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit and the (Q936) Passenger Switch Return circuit at the Passenger Door Module C5 harness connector.
Is there continuity between the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit and the (Q936) Passenger Switch Return circuit?
Yes
- Repair the (Q336) Passenger Switch Mux circuit for a short to the (Q936) Passenger Window Switch Return circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DOOR, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check for continuity between the (Q336) Passenger Window Switch Mux circuit and the (Q936) Passenger Switch Return circuit at the Passenger Door Module C5 harness connector.
