2.0L TD (3 Bolt)

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the engine belly pan.

  4. Remove the starter B+ cable retainer (1) from the starter.
  5. Disconnect the solenoid connector from the starter.
  6. Remove the upper starter cable bracket mounting nut (3).
  7. Remove the lower starter mounting stud nut.
  8. Remove the lower starter ground cable stud nut (2).
  9. Position the starter cable assembly aside (4).

  10. Remove the upper and lower starter mounting stud bolt (1)
  11. Remove the center starter mounting bolt (2).
  12. Remove the starter (3).
