2.0L TD (2 Bolt)

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Remove the engine belly pan.

  4. Remove the starter B+ cable retainer (1) from the starter.
  5. Position the starter B+ cable (2) aside.
  6. Disconnect the solenoid connector from the starter.
  7. Remove the lower starter mounting stud nut (3).
  8. Position aside ground cable (4).
  9. Remove the lower starter stud mounting bolt (5).

  10. Remove the upper starter mounting stud nut and position aside the harness bracket.
  11. Remove the upper mounting bolt and the stud mounting bolt.
  12. Remove the starter (1).
