2.0L TD (3 Bolt)

  1. Install the starter (3).
  2. Install the upper and lower starter mounting stud bolts (1).

    Tighten to 27 N.m (20 Ft. Lbs.).

  3. Install the center starter mounting bolt (2).

    Tighten to 27 N.m (20 Ft. Lbs.)

  4. Position the starter cable assembly cable back to its original position, ground on bottom stud, cable bracket on upper stud and B+ on the starter solenoid stud.
  5. Connect the solenoid connector to the starter.
  6. Install the starter B+ cable retainer (1).

    Tighten to 10 N.m (7 Ft. Lbs.).

  7. Install the upper and lower starter mounting stud nut (1)

    Tighten to 10 N.m (7 Ft. Lbs.).

  8. Install the engine belly pan.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
