2.0L TD (2 Bolt)

  1. Install the starter (1).
  2. Install the upper mounting bolt and upper stud bolt.

    Tighten to 27 N.m (20 Ft. Lbs.).

  3. Install the harness bracket on to the upper starter stud bolt.
  4. Install the upper starter mounting stud nut.

    Tighten to 10 N.m (7 Ft. Lbs.).

  5. Install the lower starter stud mounting bolt (5).
  6. Position the ground cable (4) on the lower stud mounting bolt (5) and install the stud nut (3).

    Tighten to 10 N.m (7 Ft. Lbs.).

  7. Connect the solenoid connector to the starter.
  8. Install the starter B+ cable (2) on the starter B+ stud.
  9. Install the starter B+ cable retainer (1).

    Tighten to 10 N.m (7 Ft. Lbs.).

  10. Install the engine belly pan.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
