Diagnostic Test

- DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Perform ORC module reset. Access the Miscellaneous Function menu from the ORC ECU Overview screen on the scan tool to perform this operation.
- With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Is the DTC active or stored?
ORC - ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
- Go To 2
ORC - STORED DTC
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
- CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL ACTIVE SQUIB DTCS
- With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Are there squib specific DTCs set as active in addition to B1BB9-AIRBAG SQUIB CIRCUIT COUPLING?
Yes
- Repair all other active squib specific DTCs before repairing B1BB9-AIRBAG SQUIB CIRCUIT COUPLING.
No
- Go To 3
- With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
- USE THE SCAN TOOL TO IDENTIFY THE COUPLED CIRCUITS
- With the scan tool, identify the two or more Squib circuits that read SET.
Are two or more Squib circuits DTCs set?
Yes
- Repair the two or more Squib circuits for a Squib Circuit Coupling condition.
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
- With the scan tool, identify the two or more Squib circuits that read SET.
