2.0L Diesel Engine

  1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from power steering fluid reservoir.
  2. Remove the engine appearance cover.
  3. Remove the pressure line (3) at the pump (4).
  4. Remove the pressure line routing bracket bolt (2) at the upper mount (7).
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  6. Remove the return hose (1) at the return tube (2) and allow any fluid in the hose to drain. If equipped with a screw-clamp, be sure to save the original clamp for reinstallation.
  7. Remove belly pan below engine.

  8. Remove the routing clamp screw (1) securing the pressure hose (2) to the right side of the crossmember (3).

  9. Unscrew the tube nut (3), then remove the pressure hose (4) at the steering gear.

  10. Remove the screws (1) securing the power steering hose routing clamps (2) to the rear of the crossmember.
  11. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the vehicle.
