2.4L - Secondary Thermostat

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the coolant hose (1) from rear of coolant adapter (2).
- Remove the radiator hose (3).
- Remove the radiator hose (4) from the front of coolant adapter (2).
- Remove the coolant adapter mounting bolts.
- Carefully slide coolant adapter off water pump inlet tube and remove the coolant adapter (2) and secondary thermostat.
