Section 152 (Engine Cooling System): Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 3.6L

CAUTION:
The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing, damage to the thermostat may occur.
- Clean the mating areas of timing chain cover and thermostat housing (1).
- Install a NEW gasket seal on to the thermostat housing.
- Install the thermostat housing on the water crossover. Tighten bolts to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
- Install upper radiator hose onto the thermostat housing (1).
- Install the coolant recovery bottle. Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks.
