TENSIONER, Belt: Installation: 3.6L

NOTE:

There is an indexing slot is located on back of tensioner. Align this slot to the head of the bolt on the front cover.

  1. Install the belt tensioner (1). Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
  2. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
  3. Check the belt indexing marks.
  4. Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery.
