2.0L Diesel Engine

NOTE:

When installing the serpentine belt, be sure belt is routed around all accessories correctly.

  1. Install the serpentine belt over all pulleys.
    CAUTION:

    Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the fully extended position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

  2. Using a wrench, rotate the tensioner (5) until the locking pin can be removed from the tensioner (8).
  3. Check the belt for proper alignment.

  4. Install the lower splash shield (2) and the fasteners.

  5. Install the wheelhouse splash shield (1) and the fasteners (2).
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
