Shifter, Transmission: Removal: Removal

Disconnect battery negative cable.
Remove the center console. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, REMOVAL .

Disconnect harness connector (1).
Remove the shift knob by pulling up on the knob.

Remove the electrical connectors (1, 2) at the shifter.

Disconnect and remove gearshift cable (2, 3) from shift mechanism.

Remove four shift mechanism-to-lower console nuts (1). Remove shift mechanism (2).
