Handle, Exterior, Liftgate: Removal: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, LIFTGATE, REMOVAL .
Remove the nut (1) that secures the liftgate handle assembly to the inside of the liftgate (2).

Remove the four screws (1) that secure the liftgate handle assembly to the outside of the liftgate.

Partially remove the liftgate handle assembly (4) from the liftgate and disconnect the electrical connectors (1 and 2), as equipped.
Disconnect the liftgate handle latch cable (3) and remove the liftgate handle assembly.
