Diagnostic Test

- INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, clear DTCs.
- Turn the Rear Windshield Washers on and off.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool read: B2341-13-FRONT/REAR WASHER MOTOR (-) CONTROL - CIRCUIT OPEN?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE WASHER PUMP MOTOR FOR CORRECT OPERATION
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Washer Pump Motor harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the (W20) Rear Washer Pump Motor Control circuit.
- Turn the Rear Windshield Washers on and off.
Does the test light illuminate when the Rear Windshield Washers are turned on?
Yes
- Replace the Washer Pump Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to PUMP, WINDSHIELD WASHER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (W20) REAR WASHER PUMP MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the BCM A harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (W20) Rear Washer Pump Motor Control circuit between the BCM A harness connector and the Washer Pump Motor harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the open in the (W20) Rear Washer Pump Motor Control circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
