Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (P307) ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Junction Block C2 harness connector.
- Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the (P307) Accessory Delay Relay Control circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Repair the short to voltage in the (P307) Accessory Delay Relay Control circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (P307) ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect the BCM E harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (P307) Accessory Delay Relay Control circuit between the Junction Block C2 harness connector and the BCM E harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the open in the (P307) Accessory Delay Relay Control circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE BCM FOR CORRECT OPERATION
- Reconnect the BCM E harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check (P307) Accessory Delay Relay Control circuit at the Junction Block C2 harness connector.
- With the scan tool, actuate the Ignition RUN/ACC 2 output.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Replace the Junction Block in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to JUNCTION BLOCK, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
