Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Lock and unlock the doors.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK EACH MOTOR ON THE (P910) DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT AND (P292) PASSENGER DOORS UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
NOTE:
Using the wiring diagram as a guide, disconnect each component on the circuits one at a time and check for an active DTC.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect one of the Door Lock Motors on the circuits.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Lock and unlock the doors.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Repeat this step for all the Door Lock Motors on the circuits. Once all the motors are disconnected: Go To 3
  No
  - Replace the Door Lock Motor/Latch causing the short to ground condition in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to LATCH, DOOR, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE TAILGATE AND RAMBOX LOCK MOTOR/LATCHES FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
NOTE:
A shorted Tailgate or RamBox Lock Motor/Latch can set this DTC.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Tailgate Lock Motor/Latch harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Lock and unlock the doors.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Repeat this step for the RamBox Lock Motors/Latches. Once all the motor/latches are disconnected: Go To 4
  No
  - Replace the Tailgate or RamBox Lock Motor/Latch causing the short to ground condition in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE (P910) DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT AND (P292) PASSENGER DOORS UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the BCM F harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P910) Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
4. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P292) Passenger Doors Unlock Driver circuit.
  Are the resistances above 10k Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 5
  No
  - Repair the short to ground in the (P910) Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit or (P292) Passenger Doors Unlock Driver circuit.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE (P237) DOOR LOCK DOUBLE LOCK FUNCTION NEGATIVE (UNLOCK) CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
NOTE:
A short in the Tailgate or RamBox Lock Motor/Latch wiring can set this DTC.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P237) Door Lock Double Lock Function Negative (Unlock) circuit.
  Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Body Control Module (BCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Repair the short to ground in the (P237) Door Lock Double Lock Function Negative (Unlock) circuit.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
