Switch, Hood Ajar: Removal: Switch

- Unlatch and open the hood.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
- Reach under the right end of the upper cross member of the Front End Module (FEM) carrier (2) to access and disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (3) from the hood ajar switch (1) connector receptacle.
- From above the hood ajar switch, squeeze the two switch latch tabs together and pull the switch upward through the mounting hole in the upper cross member of the FEM carrier.
- Remove the hood ajar switch and discard.
