Switch, Hood Ajar: Installation: Switch

NOTE:
Self-adjustment of the hood ajar switch is a one time feature. If the switch is damaged, ineffective, removed or requires readjustment, it must be replaced with a new unit.
- Position the new hood ajar switch (1) above the mounting hole in the right end of the upper cross member of the Front End Module (FEM) carrier (2).
- Press the switch into the mounting hole until both integral switch latch tabs lock it into place.
- Reach under the upper cross member of the FEM carrier to access and reconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (3) to the switch connector receptacle.
- Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
- Close and latch the hood.
