Set Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Dodge Journey and 2015 Dodge Journey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The EPPM will set this DTC if it detects a short to voltage on the EPPM Squib 2 circuits. The DTC sets when the EPPM squib 2 circuits have become shorted to voltage for more than 2.6 seconds. The DTC will go from active to stored when the module sees a recovery from the short to voltage for more than 2.6 seconds. The Airbag Warning Lamp (AWL) will be on while faulted condition is active. The AWL will turn off as soon as the condition is removed and the fault causing the lamp to be "on" dematures.
