Diagnostic Test

STEERING WHEEL POSITION SENSOR-INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE
- Perform any Service Bulletins that may apply.
- The ABS Module is reporting internal errors from the SAS.NOTE:
Before continuing, check the Steering Angle Sensor harness connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Repair as necessary.
- Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wire harness and connectors. Pay particular attention to all Power and Ground circuits.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the Steering Control Module (SCM) in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
