2.0L Turbo Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front belly pan front retainers (1).

  3. Remove the rear push pin (1).
  4. Remove the retainers from the belly pan to the side splash shields (2).
  5. Remove the passenger side splash shields.
  6. Remove the passenger side front wheels.

  7. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the right intermediate shaft. Refer to REMOVAL and REMOVAL .

  9. Remove the B+ retainer (2).
  10. Disconnect the generator field connector (1) and position aside the B+ cable (3).

  11. Loosen the upper generator rear support bracket retainer (1) (not necessary to remove).
  12. Remove the upper generator mounting retainer (2).
  13. Remove the lower generator mounting retainer (3).
  14. Remove the generator.
